Abstract Figurative Sculptures

My Art 1 classes studied gesture drawing, figurative sculpture and abstracted figurative sculpture. Then they created their own by arranging pieces of wood into a figure representing one of the gestures they drew, and glued it together. Once dry, it was painted all one color for unity, so students designed and mixed a special color that best complimented their sculptures.
