Let's All Get Along!

Our classes looked at paintings like "Peaceable Kingdom" and "Holy Mountain", which represent animals that would ordinarily be predator and prey, or have an adversarial relationship, cohabiting in peace. We talked about why artists create these idealistic paintings, and how they apply to individuals, societies, cultures, countries, etc. Students then created images in colored pencil of animals living quietly together.
