Farm Animal Rights

My classes are looking at factory farming and using their artistry to bring awareness to their causes and petition the White House for change...here we are in the early phases of design.

Crayon Resist Birds

My life skills support class had a wonderful time reviewing scale and placement, as well as layered colors and foreground / background while drawing colorful birds and painting the sky blue.

Illuminations Completed

Many students took this opportunity to showcase their own writing, and some selected work from lyrics or poems they felt were relevant or related to. It was challenging to learn the craft of calligraphy, but well worth the beautiful finished products.

Calligraphy and illuminations In Progress

Students practiced upper and lower case calligraphy for two weeks before designing an Illumination based on a piece of original written work or a quoted work from another source. Students gained knowledge of proportion, lettering, layout, and patience!
